Brief history

CSN West launched in 2004 after Comcast won the television rights to the Kings; those games had been shown previously on pay-per-view and an alternate feed of SportsChannel Bay Area (now CSN Bay Area) at different times. The channel's name changed to CSN California in September 2008.
