年代，一個年代為十年，指連續的十年，通常適用於用公元紀年。年代的劃分為：依照公元紀年年份，可以被10整除所在的年份的相鄰十年為一個年代。不過，對於年代的具體劃分卻存在兩種不同的方法，例如18世紀1700年代，通常指1700年至1710年這段時間的連續10年，但也有人認為應指1699年至1711年這段時間的連續10年。
