光电工程 （正體）

光电工程学指的是与光、电同时相关的科学;它是一门新兴的学科，未来的发展潜力无穷。
光电子学是以光的量子力学(quantum photonics)为基础，应用于半导体材料上，有时也表现在电场上。

例如： 光电效应可应用于：

• 光电二极管(photo diodes)（包含太阳能电池）
• 光电晶体管(photo transistors)
• 光电子倍增器(photo multipliers)
• 积体光电子电路（IOC）元件

光电导性，则应用于:

• 积体光电子电路(photo resistors)
• 光导相机管(photo conductive camera tubes)
