硝石战争（1879年－1883年），亦称太平洋战争。是次战争中，秘鲁和玻利维亚共同对抗智利。智利最终获胜，夺得原本属秘鲁的塔拉帕卡省和阿利卡省（Arica），以及玻利维亚的列图露省（Litoral）。自此之后，玻利维亚失去出海口，成为内陆国。
