通讯卫星
通讯卫星是太空中用于通信的人造卫星。现代通讯卫星使用地球同步轨道、莫尼亚(Molniya)轨道或低纬度轨道。
通讯卫星是为了补足海底电缆通信的不足，通常用于移动通讯。例如船只或飞机的通讯，无法使用有线通讯，此时便需要通讯卫星。
