- 1997年1月，Foxmail 1.0 beta（英文版）诞生。
- 1998年4月，Foxmail 2.1中文版推出。
- 2000年4月18日，张小龙以1200万元的价格把Foxmail卖给博大公司。
- 2001年1月8日，Foxmail 3.11版推出。
- 2002年7月4日，Foxmail 4.2版推出。
- 2003年9月1日，Foxmail 5.0版发布。
- 2004年6月18日，Foxmail 5.0.800.0版发布，为目前最新版本。
- 2005年3月16日，腾讯收购Foxmail软件。
- 2005年11月21日，Foxmail 6.0beta1版发布。
作者
张小龙，男，（1969年12月-），中国湖南人。1987年考入华中理工大学电信系，1994年毕业，获硕士学位。是Foxmail软件创始人。
