Windows Live Mail (formerly named Windows Live Mail Desktop) is an e-mail client from Microsoft's Windows Live set of products. It is intended to be a successor for Outlook Express on Windows XP and Windows Mail on Windows Vista. It contains a superset of Windows Mail's features, and provides integration with Windows Live Hotmail.[1]

Windows Live Mail is developed by the same team that wrote Windows Mail. According to a March 3, 2006 blog post from a Microsoft employee,[2] it would contain all the new features in Windows Mail, and add to that the following:
